23-year-old Barry Johnson and a 16-year-old were arrested for armed robbery at a Salem convenience store, US Market on 12th Street Southeast. They allegedly committed the robbery at gunpoint, fled in a stolen car, and were later arrested. Johnson is charged with first-degree robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle, while the teen suspect is housed at the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center.
