Pakistan's CAA mandates drone registration, categorizes by weight, requires licenses for categories II-IV, bans near borders/airports, and imposes fines/import clearance.

Pakistan's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has mandated drone registration, classifying them by weight into four categories and requiring operators of categories II, III, and IV to have a CAA Remote Pilot License. Drones are banned near borders and airports, and violators face fines up to Rs100,000. Importing category III and IV drones requires Ministry of Defence clearance. The CAA will oversee rule implementation and promote UAV use in the country.
