FIFA faces a lawsuit from FIFPro, PFA, and UNFP over the 2025 Club World Cup calendar, alleging violation of players' rights and EU competition law.

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFPro) and the Professional Footballers' Associations of England (PFA) and France (UNFP) have filed a lawsuit against FIFA, challenging the legality of the tournament calendar, particularly the decision to create and schedule the 2025 Club World Cup. The unions believe these decisions violate players' rights and potentially breach EU competition law. FIFPro, UNFP, and PFA have asked the Brussels Commercial Court to refer the case to the Court of Justice of the European Union.
