Andhra Pradesh CM-elect Chandrababu Naidu faces a Rs 10,000 crore funding gap to implement his "Super Six" promises, including increased pensions.
Chandrababu Naidu, set to be Andhra Pradesh CM, faces a significant challenge in delivering his "Super Six" promise due to depleted state finances. His plans include increasing monthly pensions to Rs 4,000 from Rs 3,000, with a backlog payment of Rs 3,000 for April, May, and June. This will cost the state exchequer Rs 4,500 crore in July, on top of regular salaries and pensioner expenses. The new TDP government must raise over Rs 10,000 crore to meet financial requirements for July.
