The Daytime Emmys faced potential picketing by the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) over non-union workers hired for the event. However, IATSE reached a deal with the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) to extend union benefits to these non-union workers. As a result, the Daytime Emmys will proceed as planned.
