UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Orlando Bloom visited the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) amid escalating violence and mass displacement, with over 1,000 grave violations against children verified in the first quarter of 2024. The conflict has led to nearly seven million people being displaced, and UNICEF is providing education, health, nutrition, water and sanitation, and protection assistance to affected children, women, and families. However, their $804.3 million humanitarian appeal is only 10% funded.
