83-year-old woman gored by bison at Yellowstone National Park, sustains serious injuries.
83-year-old woman from Greenville, South Carolina, sustained serious injuries after being gored by a bison at Yellowstone National Park on June 1. The bison, defending its space, came within a few feet of the woman and lifted her off the ground with its horns. Park emergency responders transported the woman to the Lake Medical Clinic before she was flown by helicopter to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Bison have injured more people in Yellowstone than any other animal.
