Powell co-wrote the film with director Richard Linklater, playing Gary Johnson, a philosophy professor who moonlights as a fake hitman for the New Orleans Police Department. Gary is drawn to a potential criminal, Madison Masters (Adria Arjona), and the two embark on a journey of deception, love, and self-discovery. The movie releases on Netflix on June 7.
