On June 1, a community street painting project transformed a wide Penticton intersection, improving safety and adding vibrancy. The event, part of the city's Friendly Streets Initiative, saw locals of all ages paint Nanaimo Avenue and Ellis Street despite light rain. This followed an earlier event where 17 KVR Middle School students painted murals on Jermyn Avenue to focus on community safety.
