R&B stars Usher and Victoria Monét will be honored with prestigious awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) at its Rhythm & Soul Music Songwriters and Publishers event on June 27. Usher will receive the Voice of the Culture Award, which recognizes ASCAP members who have had a significant influence on music and culture, while Victoria Monét will be given the Vanguard Award for members shaping the future of music.
