Guangzhou, China's capital of Guangdong Province, has eased home-buying restrictions by reducing down-payment ratios and allowing non-local residents to purchase two homes in six districts, provided they have paid social insurance or income tax in Guangzhou for at least six months. Other Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Chengdu have also recently adjusted real estate policies.
