TCS and IIT-Bombay collaborate to develop India's first Quantum Diamond Microchip Imager for enhancing semiconductor chip precision and energy efficiency.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-Bombay) are collaborating to develop India's first Quantum Diamond Microchip Imager. This advanced sensing tool aims to enhance the precision of examining semiconductor chips, reduce chip failures, and improve the energy efficiency of electronic devices. Over the next two years, experts from TCS will work with Dr. Kasturi Saha, an Associate Professor at IIT-Bombay, to develop the quantum imaging platform in the PQuest Lab. The collaboration aligns with the National Quantum Mission's Quantum Sensing and Metrology vertical and has the potential to transform various sectors, including electronics and healthcare.
