Ireland to miss 2030 EU emissions reduction target by 22%.

Ireland is set to miss national and EU emissions reduction targets by a significant margin, with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) projecting a 29% reduction in emissions by 2030, compared to 2018, against a legally-binding target of 51%. Ireland will fall "well short" of its targets, highlighting the need for greater effort to achieve the required reductions across all sectors of the economy.
