11am fire in Akadimias park, Nicosia, extinguished by 11:20am; firefighters controlled small grass fire, cause under investigation.
A fire broke out at Akadimias park in Aglandja, Nicosia at 11am and was extinguished by 11:20am, according to the forestry department. Firefighters from both the forestry department and the Fire Service responded, with seven and two members respectively, and managed to control the fire which only burned a small area of dry grass. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
