Cinefest presents Kanaval on May 29, a film set in the early 1970s about a Haitian boy and his mother who leave their troubled hometown and settle in a small rural village in Quebec. The young boy relies on his invisible friend to help him understand the new world around him. The film will be presented in French and Haitian with English subtitles.
