Asian Development Bank approves $500M loan to strengthen Indonesia's plastic marine debris reduction program.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a 500 million USD loan to strengthen Indonesia's program to reduce plastic marine debris. The loan will focus on supporting Indonesia's National Action Plan for Handling Marine Debris, aiming to reduce plastic waste flow into oceans by 70% by 2025. The ADB's funding will help improve plastic waste management, reduce problematic plastic production and consumption, and strengthen data monitoring.
