197 young breast cancer survivors, aged 40 and under, attempting pregnancy after treatment had a 73% conception rate and 90% live births, according to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute research.

New research by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute finds that most young breast cancer survivors (aged 40 and younger) who attempted pregnancy after cancer treatment were able to conceive and give birth. In a study of 197 patients who reported trying to conceive, 73% became pregnant at least once, with 90% of these pregnancies resulting in live births. The study fills gaps in previous research and provides hope for young breast cancer patients seeking to conceive after treatment.
