Baltic Sea nations express concern over Russia's proposal to revise maritime border coordinates.

Baltic Sea nations, including Finland, Sweden, and Lithuania, have expressed concern over reports of a possible Russian proposal to revise its maritime borders in the region. The Russian Defense Ministry has suggested updating the coordinates used to measure territorial waters off its mainland coast and islands, as the existing coordinates from 1985 were based on outdated maps. While some leaders view it as an attempt to spread fear and uncertainty, others, such as Finland's Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, believe it could be a routine act and not a provocation.
