Ray Manzarek, co-founder and keyboardist of iconic rock band The Doors, passed away at 74 after a battle with bile duct cancer. Manzarek and Jim Morrison created the band in 1965, later joined by drummer John Densmore and guitarist Robby Krieger. The band's self-titled debut album, released in January 1967, featured hit songs "Light My Fire" and "Break On Through (To The Other Side)." The Doors sold over 34 million records globally and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. Manzarek authored his memoir, "Light My Fire: My Life with the Doors," in 1998.
