SanlamAllianz Group receives Ghana's NIC's final approval for the merger of Sanlam and Allianz insurance entities in Ghana, expanding their African presence.
SanlamAllianz Group receives final no objection from Ghana's National Insurance Commission (NIC) to merge Sanlam Life Insurance Ghana LTD and Allianz Life Insurance Ghana LTD, as well as Sanlam General Insurance Ghana LTD and Allianz Insurance Ghana LTD. The joint venture covers 27 countries in Africa and has an enterprise value of nearly $2 billion. The merger allows the Ghanaian market to benefit from the combined expertise of both major financial services groups, which have over 200 years of cumulative experience in Africa and beyond.
