51-year-old Donna Gaye McCauley from Waipā has been identified as the motorbike rider who died in a crash near Matamata on Friday 17 May. The accident occurred on Te Poi Rd, close to the intersection with State Highway 29. The road was closed until late evening, and despite the efforts of emergency services, McCauley passed away at the scene. Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
