New radio station, Funky Corner Radio, launches on May 19, broadcasting 24/7, commercial-free soul and disco from Swindon's DMJ tower. Originally an Italian station, it was brought to Swindon by Jonathan Sheldrake, who noticed a gap in the local market whilst working in Milan. Jonathan has received positive feedback and reports most listeners discover the station by accident in their cars.
