600K+ Californians haven't claimed inflation relief money: After a year and a half, more than 600,000 Californians have not collected their inflation relief payments, totaling around $4 billion in benefits. The Franchise Tax Board estimates that 7.2 million payments were deposited directly into bank accounts, while 9.6 million people received debit cards. Only 90% of these cards have been activated, leaving 624,000 debit cards with at least $125 million unclaimed.
