Croatia's parliament approves Plenkovic's 3rd term, forming government with HDZ and DF.
Croatia's parliament approved a new government led by incumbent Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic on Friday, marking his third consecutive term in office. The new government includes the conservative Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and the far-right Homeland Movement (DF). The HDZ, which led Croatia to join the EU's Schengen free travel area and the euro zone last year, formed a coalition with the DF. The Homeland Movement will have three ministers in the 18-member government.
