Archbishop of Canterbury calls for UK to end "cruel" two-child benefit limit.

Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has called for an end to the UK's "cruel" two-child benefit limit, stating that it is "neither moral nor necessary" and falls short of societal values. The policy, introduced in 2017, limits child tax credit and universal credit to the first two children in most households. Despite claims by Sir Keir Starmer that ending child poverty is central to his plans, he has not yet committed to scrap the limit.
