USS Ronald Reagan, the U.S. Navy's flagship aircraft carrier, departed Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan after nearly 9 years, marking the end of its deployment in the Indo-Pacific region. The carrier contributed to strengthening defense ties with Japan and other partners, participated in numerous multilateral exercises, and visited over a dozen foreign ports. USS George Washington will replace the Ronald Reagan later this year.
