13-month-old Sol, who was initially thought to have a lazy eye, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma, which affects infants. His left eye was removed in an emergency surgery after doctors found a tumor rapidly growing behind his eye. Sol underwent proton beam radiotherapy, and his mother, Becky, calls him "super Sol" for his resilience during the treatment.
