Downtown Lexington's Davis Park officially opens after a 20-year wait, fulfilling a promise made when the original neighborhood was displaced for Newtown Pike extension. Funded jointly by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the city, the park includes a new playground, shelter, multi-use trail, and open green space.
