Remedy Entertainment, known for titles like Alan Wake and Control, has cancelled its multiplayer game project Kestrel (formerly Vanguard), funded by Tencent. The decision allows the studio to focus on other projects, including a Control sequel, a multiplayer spin-off codenamed Condor, and remakes of the first two Max Payne games. Kestrel was initially conceived as a free-to-play multiplayer game that later went premium.
