40-year-old pedestrian killed in Sarasota after being hit by two vehicles on State Road 72.
40-year-old pedestrian was killed in Sarasota on Saturday night after attempting to cross State Road 72 (Clark Road) in front of approaching traffic. The man was first hit by a sedan driven by a 24-year-old and then by an SUV driven by a 34-year-old. Both drivers were not injured, and the SUV driver's 9-year-old passenger also remained unharmed. The pedestrian died at the scene.
