On May 5th, a sailing boat crashed into rocks near St Mawes, Cornwall, with dramatic footage showing a lifeboat approaching the sinking ship just a few meters from the shore. The boat, with two men onboard, was tilting into the sea, but no injuries were reported. The RNLI and Coastguard have been contacted for comment, and it is unclear if the boat got too close to the rocks or was unfamiliar with the local area.
