India's Supreme Court suspended the sentence of Congress MLA Mohammed Moquim from Odisha in a corruption case. The court granted bail but did not grant his appeal for a stay on conviction. Moquim, MLA of Cuttack-Barabati, is challenging the Orissa High Court's decision leading to his conviction in the loan irregularities case. His sentence has been suspended until the disposal of his Special Leave Petition (SLP).
