2013 trial evidence against Limerick gangster John Dundon for Shane Geoghegan's murder questioned due to new phone conversation between witnesses.

Lawyer Dominic McGinn argues before the Court of Appeal that fresh evidence, a phone conversation between witnesses Lisa Collins and Christopher McCarthy that was not presented at Dundon's 2013 trial, could call into question the credibility of witnesses who helped imprison Limerick gangster John Dundon for the murder of rugby player Shane Geoghegan. The conversation, recorded by the Irish Prison Service while McCarthy was in jail, allegedly discussed the length of Dundon's imprisonment.
