Electric Metals (USA) Ltd. has announced positive results from metallurgical tests on its Emily manganese deposit in Minnesota, conducted by Kemetco Research Inc. Direct leaching achieved more than 90% manganese extraction using a reductant, while previous tests confirmed over 80% recovery and produced chemical-grade manganese products. The company now focuses on developing a viable optimized flow sheet.
