The Co-Op Live Arena, a £365m music and entertainment venue in Manchester, opens with Rick Astley headlining a test event. The new venue aims to rival the O2 in London and has attracted major acts including Peter Kay, Barry Manilow, Olivia Rodrigo, Take That, Eric Clapton, and Liam Gallagher. With a capacity of 23,500, the arena is located near Manchester City's Etihad Stadium and will host the MTV Europe Music Awards later this year.
