On Friday night, an Orange County deputy shot a man at Indigo Winter Park Apartments after reports of an armed man pointing a gun at residents. Deputies arrived at 10:30 pm and heard gunfire. The man was still holding the weapon when a deputy fired, taking him to the hospital in critical condition. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating, with findings to be reviewed by the State Attorney's Office. The deputy is on temporary paid administrative leave.
