A fire in a mobile crane in Sydney's Lane Cove Tunnel disrupted morning traffic during the peak hour but was quickly extinguished, allowing the tunnel to reopen within a couple of hours with minimal damage. The fire involved a crane on the eastbound side of the tunnel, leading to closures and diversions. The internal sprinkler system put out the fire, and no injuries were reported. Transport for NSW advised motorists to avoid the area and plan for extra travel time.
