Cowichan Valley blues duo Blue Moon Marquee, consisting of A.W. Cardinal and Jasmine Colette, won their first Juno Award for Blues Album of the Year. The Juno Awards took place in Halifax on March 24, with Victoria-born pop sensation Nelly Furtado hosting. The duo, known for their swing blues style, will open for music legend Booker T at the Victoria Jazz Festival on June 19.
