China launches wide-scale anti-corruption inspections targeting financial regulators, central bank, & leading banks, including Industrial & Commercial Bank of China, Shanghai & Shenzhen stock exchanges. Initiated by President Xi Jinping, inspections involve non-financial entities & aim to combat corruption among officials & executives. This is the first major probe since 2021 & expected to last three months.
