A stabbing incident occurred in downtown Victoria, Canada on April 15, near the intersection of Douglas and Yates streets. Police investigating the scene cordoned off three sidewalk sections after a person was taken to the hospital for treatment. This is the 7th stabbing in Victoria since March 1, with two of the incidents suspected to be homicides. The Victoria Police Department considers the incidents isolated and has increased patrols in the downtown area.
