NIWA research finds extensive, long-lasting seafloor damage from ship anchors in Wellington Harbour.

New NIWA research suggests that ship anchors may cause extensive and long-lasting damage to the seafloor. This research is part of a multi-year MBIE Smart Ideas project to redesign anchoring practices for a more sustainable shipping industry.
