Missing man found injured after 24 hours lost in bush near Okere Falls, Rotorua, during kayaking trip.
A missing man was found injured after nearly 24 hours lost in the bush at Okere Falls, Rotorua. The man and his friends had been kayaking down the Kaituna River when he became separated from his kayak. A large search operation involving ground crews and the Police helicopter, Eagle, located him at the bottom of a gully with a back injury. He is currently being cared for by Land Search and Rescue.
