Two Kansas women, Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley, were tragically killed by a group of anti-government Oklahomans called "God's Misfits" over a custody dispute. The victims had arranged to pick up Butler's two children from the grandmother's home, but their vehicle was found along a rural Oklahoma highway with evidence of a violent confrontation. Four people, including the grandmother, Tifany Adams, and her boyfriend Tad Cullum, were arrested on kidnapping and first-degree murder charges. The children involved in the custody dispute were found to be safe.
