Insects found in mid-day meal flour at Uttar Pradesh's Ganeshpur Primary School led the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) to issue a notice and warn of strict action against negligent teachers. The food was prepared on a fireplace, despite a gas cylinder and stove being provided by the government. Teachers were found absent in three schools out of six inspected, and student attendance was lower than enrollment numbers.
