Victorian public schools lost millions in parent payments, with a 51.5% drop in Hume and a 35.7% decrease in Greater Dandenong. In total, 14 local government areas in the metro Melbourne region saw over a quarter of previous payments decrease. Conversely, affluent Stonnington recorded a 69.4% increase, reaching $4.2 million. The high-performing Melbourne High School earned the most at $2.5 million.
