Ireland's government has allocated €7.4 million to the 2024 Community Monuments Fund, supporting 140 projects across the country to preserve and maintain local monuments and historical sites. The fund aims to create thousands of hours of employment for specialist craftspeople and traditional skills practitioners. Projects will receive funding for essential repairs and capital works for conservation, development of Conservation Management Plans, and enhancement of public access infrastructure and interpretation at archaeological sites.
