20 irregular migrants were relocated from Malta to other EU countries via the EU Voluntary Solidarity Mechanism, with the Maltese Home Affairs Ministry, International Organization for Migration, and European Union Agency for Asylum collaborating. Those entitled to protection will be assisted, while others will be repatriated. The EU's Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund co-funded the operation.
