Azerbaijan extradited Kazakh prisoner Rinat Gabitov to Kazakhstan for 3 months based on the 2002 Convention on legal assistance.
Azerbaijan has extradited Rinat Gabitov Tursuntayevich, a Kazakh citizen serving a sentence in Azerbaijan, to Kazakhstan for 3 months. This decision was made based on the Convention dated 07.10.2002 "On legal assistance and legal relations in civil, family and criminal cases" and in response to the petition of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Gabitov was suspected of organizing a criminal group and committing economic smuggling.
