On April 9, a South Orange-Maplewood high school student was assaulted at Columbia High School, resulting in police involvement and increased security measures.
A student in South Orange-Maplewood district was assaulted by another high school student at Columbia High School on April 9. Maplewood Police responded to the scene and the victim was treated and transported to a hospital. The Maplewood Police Youth Aid Bureau is working with the school to investigate the incident, and increased security measures are being taken at dismissal times.
