33-year-old Kyle Schuiling, a Calgary resident, was identified as the victim found during a grass fire investigation in Rocky View County. The Alberta RCMP Major Crime Unit is treating the death as a homicide, and the investigation is ongoing. Schuiling's remains were discovered by the Tsuut'ina Nation Fire Department while extinguishing a grass fire on April 3.
